Beth Mostovoy
After working with seniors as an Activity Director for many years and dabbling in photography on the side, Beth Mostovoy decided to pursue her photography on a full time basis. In 1999 she created Honeybear Prints Photography, and has traveled the world to shoot “photographs that reveal the extra-ordinary in the ordinary moments that color our lives.” She shares her images in a variety of Art Festivals and exhibitions, gift and bookstores and international competitions. Highlights include Third Place (Travel/Tourism), International Photography Awards, and a collection of images featured in Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin West and East. Beth believes in the power of art to make a difference in the world and created a collection of images to sell as a fundraiser for 9/11, and another for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
In her quest to bring art to the community, Beth has served on the Steering Committee of Peninsula Open Studios and Silicon Valley Open Studios. As a member of the Downtown Business Group in Redwood City she has been instrumental in getting an Art Walk started, and has worked to bring Phantom Galleries to the downtown. In addition, Beth produced the Hometown Holiday Boutique for several years and, along with Julie Goodenough, produces the successful “Art on the Square” since 2007 in beautifully renovated Courthouse Square. Art on the Square has been renewed with a commitment to expand to five shows in 2010.
Beth lives in Redwood City with her sweet Honeybear, Kraig and their dog, Kahlua. Visit Honeybear Prints online:http://www.honeybearprints.com |
