Artist's Statement "Working with ceramic materials is about chemistry...and alchemy. It's about consigning ones work to the fire, not always being in total control of the final outcome, and learning to relax and accept that one cannot control everything. My sculptures, functional pieces and jewelry have collectors in several states." |

Bio/Career Highlights: I am a native, and lifelong, resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. I started drawing and painting at an early age, and have more recently started to explore the 3-D, textural possibilities inherent in the ceramic medium. I was a "featured artist" for "Expository Magazine" (a Web 'zine) in 2004. |

Participation in open studios, etc.: I participate in the College of San Mateo Visual Art Clubs sales, which are held in the Spring and Winter (check my site for locations, times, and dates). I have also participated in the annual student art shows at the College of San Mateo, and my work has been displayed at the San Mateo County Fair. Many of the pieces displayed on my site are available for sale, or one may also request a "customized" version of any of my featured work (please allow up to 60 days for any custom orders). |
